Believe In Yourself

It's been such a long journey to believing in myself. I will admit I have yet to arrive in all areas. There are some areas I believe in myself so much that there is not a shadow of doubt. Then there are other areas where I just simply do not believe in myself. Those are the areas I am persistently working on. It's no easy task learning to believe in yourself in a area where you once didn't believe. It takes a lot of inner work, because you have to get to the root of why you don't believe in yourself within that area. I'm learning that believing in yourself is a choice.
"I'm learning that believing in yourself is a choice."
My identity in Christ is playing a key role in me learning to believe in myself. I say that, because before I came to know who I was in Him I wasn't able to believe in my own ability. It is because I know Who I come from that I am able to believe in myself. I know that He is mighty. I know that He is powerful. I know His position in the Kingdom of Heaven. I am a reflection of Him, and knowing that is what gives me my sense of identity, because I know that all of who He is, is also who I am in Him. For me it took having someone to believe in. It took understanding that all He has done I can do too, so there is no reason for me not to believe in myself when I have to do something that seems so much bigger than me.
