It Has To Be Motivated By God

I recently was chasing after a lifestyle that was outside of the will God has for my life. I didn't realize that in the beginning, but it became clear rather quickly that my motivation towards this goal was not motivated by God. My intentions weren't pure nor were my intentions to honor or glorify Him. I had my mind on one thing. I forgot that when pursuing something there has to be purpose and meaning behind why you are pursuing that thing, along with permission from God. If it doesn't have any of these things there is no point in pursuing it at all.

As a child of God everything you do in life has to have a purpose. That's just how God works. We weren't put here by accident. Your life had an intention before you got here and it is your job to seek God on what that intention is. If we choose to walk with God and live life according to His will we have to seek Him on what His will for our life is. We can't decide for ourselves what that life looks like. It takes surrendering to Him what we wish for our life to look like and taking on His plan and instructions for our life. It's always what He meant for us to do and who He meant for us to be, never what we want to do and who we want to be.
