The Results Show Over Time

When I think of the title of this blog post I instantly think about my health and fitness journey. I've been at it for a while but never really staying consistent. I always find myself starting and stopping mostly because I don't prepare ahead of time. There is also this silent fear that I won't acheive my goals so I don't apply myself like I know I should. I let my fear and worry get in the way not even realizing that if I just start things will eventually change. I noticed the other day when I looked in the mirror the smallest change within my body and that reminded me that even those few moments that I did show up yielded change. It gave me hope and more determination to keep going.

"I NOTICED THE OTHER DAY WHEN I LOOKED IN THE MIRROR THE SMALLEST CHANGE WITHIN MY BODY AND THAT REMINDED ME THAT EVEN THOSE FEW MOMENTS THAT I DID SHOW UP YIELDED CHANGE."

It showed me that I needed to slow down and stop rushing the process because this journey requires a different level of patience. I was expecting immediate change knowing that isn't how things work. How many of us hinder our progress to become someone better because we fight the reality of the situation? All too often we let our feelings guide us when we should be led by intention. I can't let the fear keep me from believing that change isn't possible and I also can't let me not seeing results keep me from believing that change is happening. Even the smallest amount of effort can make a difference but we just have to be willing to put in that effort.
